Guidelines for the Playing of Lawn Bowls at YC&AC in 2020

The YC&AC Lawn Bowls Section is
• fully aware of and compliant with national and local guidance and
• will ensure that the following supplementary guidelines are adhered to:
- Hand sanitiser will be made available at the entrance to the Club and in the Bowling Shed.
- Disinfectant spray will be made available in the Bowling Shed. After each use, mats and jacks must be thoroughly cleaned before being used again.
- Any Club bowls that are borrowed are to be thoroughly cleaned before and after use.
- Players should maintain a physical distance of 2 meters. Singles and Pairs OK. No Triples.
- Players are asked to wear masks when not rolling their woods.
- Players should not shake hands or raise their voice.
- Players should only play on alternate rinks e.g. 1, 3, 5, 7 OR 2, 4, 6 (keep an empty rink between rinks that are being played on)
- Only one player should handle the mat and the jack, with two of them available, one at each end. (If available, disinfectant spray or wipes may be used on the green as an alternative.)
- Bowls, cloths, measures, chalk etc. should not be shared.
- Players should bring their own water.
- Guests of members must register with Concierge, pay their guest fee and state their intention to play lawn bowls.
