Alex Hendy and Kazuko Yasuda today “received” certificates of excellence from Bowls Japan. In 2019, the two bowlers finished equal second on merit points in the Kanto region, according to the Bowls Japan system of accreditation.
The Kanto region’s no. 1 bowler was the Australia-based Ken Emura of Lawn Bowls Tokyo.
Certificates of Excellence are awarded annually to the top three bowlers in the Kanto and Kansai regions, respectively.
No bowler from the Kanto region finished in the top 10 of the overall Bowls Japan rankings for 2019.
