Hot Curry Wins Nations Cup

The 2021 installment of the Lawn Bowls Nations Cup was played on Saturday, November 6, in idyllic conditions. Ten teams of three took part, these being drawn into two groups of five. Each team played one match against the others in the same group and one match against a team from the other group. Four ends, three woods. You get the picture.

The winners at the end of a thoroughly enjoyable day of bowls were Hot Curry, who beat Born in Japan in the final by 6 points to 3. Hot Curry won all of its six games on the way to the title—quite a feat. Third-place winners were Germany, who lost just one match all day and beat last year’s champions and tournament favourites, Black Thunder, not once, but twice!

Congratulations to the winners. And “well bowled!” to us all.
